Today was the day of applying for visas for Marzena and Michał.
The appointment with american consul was set at 10:30 in Warsaw for Marzena and at 10 am in Cracow for Michał. In the same day? Yes, what a coincidence! While stuck at work I was waiting for news from my friends. So apprehensive, so timid. It is not so easy to get a visa because there is many restriction for poles. Still don’t know why. That matter makes me feel so frustrated!
But finally I became tranquil. It was after I got good tidings:
first, around 10:40 I got a text from Michał, as follows:
“got a visa. fingers crossed for Mazhena”. Then exactly at 11:37 my phone rang. It was my girl first trying to play a game scaring me she can’t go. But after a while she shouted: “I got it, my love, I got visa for 10 years.”
As fast as I could I shared with that news to my family, I sat down in an armchair, happy and carefree, and started planning ‘USA Trip’ for me and my friends. Yes. It is american dream for us. And now since we are free to go!
