As you know every journey even the smallest one should be preceded by a careful study of the hisory of the place that you want to visit and for sure you should make a list of interesting places to see and write down a journey itinerary.
While I was doing a reconnaissance of few well-known bookstores it turned out that the choise of a perfect guide book is not so easy and also their prices are outrageous. Since I could not decide which of the guidebooks I should buy I hit on an idea to write to the PASCAL publishing company which has three items on this topic and ask for sponsoring of these three titles. In response, I heard that the publishing house would like to help us, but unfortunately they don’t have them in the stock. Ha! yeah and I am the Queen Elizabeth – I thought at the first moment because I didn’t believe that such a large publishing company doesn’t have even a single guide for which I asked. However I wave this aside and I said that maybe there is someone else who would love to give us those guide books.
Unfortunately nothing could be further from the truth. I sent also a few emails to the EMPIK main office and I tried to called them but after a month of no contact from their side I lost all hope that someone can help me.
In the end I get those guide books with the help of my relatives. Four of them I bought on my own and two other ones I get as a present for Christmas and birthday.
By now there’s nothing left for me to do in this case except to read them all and create an itinerary which would be the essence of the most interesting chapters.
I also want to compare them so one of the next posts will be a review of these guide books.
